30 CHILDREN ARE LIVING AT CASA DE NINOS!!
Since it's inception 30 years ago, we have provided a
Christian home for orphaned and abandoned children in the
state of Nayarit. What an awesome privilege and
responsibility God has entrusted to us. We couldn't do it
without compassionate, caring people like you! Children
come to us with so much "baggage" from the past
physical, emotional and sexual abuse and the knowledge
that no one wants them. When they arrive, the first thing
they hear is that someone does care
that Jesus
loves them and so do we. Within weeks many of them have
opened their bruised and bleeding hearts to Jesus and He
begins to transform them
MEET SAUL!
Saul is an 8 yr.old who came to us almost a year ago.
His parents are both in the local prison. Saul lived with
his grandmother but she was unable to control him and he
spent most of his days and nights "in the streets"
of Tepic. Many different people physically and sexually
abused him. Saul carries a great deal of fear, confusion,
and anger inside of him. Frequently it erupts and he
lashes out in great rage at whatever or whoever is nearby.
He has literally kept the entire staff on their knees
before the Lord, seeking love, strength, patience, and
the wisdom to know how to deal with this precious hurting
child. In speaking with our Director, Irma, recently, she
said that he still has his rages, but that they are not
as frequent. Please pray with us for Saul, for the staff,
and for the other children who live with him.
GOD IS ABLE!!
Our Christian School Opens its Doors to Tepic!
The College of Rachel Lindsay Toal, our Accelerated
Christian Education program, is ready to offer this type
of education to the community. We have four full-time
teachers as well as the director, Karina Rasmussen.
Karina says, "We are so excited about this new
opportunity to share Christian education with others
The children are adapting very well to their new
companions and teachers
we believe that we are
seeing good fruit; God's plans are to teach and equip the
children so that His purpose will be completed in their
lives. Our school can be an important instrument in God's
hands to bring this to pass."
*Note: We need several computers for the
school. Pray about helping us with this project.
**To our Donors: Thank
you so much for your financial support. We couldn't do it
without you! To those who are considering becoming a
supporter, WE NEED YOU!!
Our monthly budget is between $4,000-$5,000 and we
desperately need faithful donors who will send their
financial support every month. Please let us hear from
you today!
Baptist Church in Georgia agrees to receive donations
and give tax-deductible receipts to donors!
We want to thank the Oconee Heights Baptist Church in
Athens, Georgia, for their willingness to donate their
time and effort to receive the donations that are sent
for the Casa de Ninos. You can be assured that every
dollar you send for the children goes directly to the
Orphanage account. Nothing is taken out for operating
expenses.
Several of the youth from Oconee Heights and Salem
Baptist Churches spent 5 days in August doing work
projects on the Orphanage buildings and grounds. They
spent quality time with the children and shared the love
of Jesus with them. Wouldn't you like to be a part of a
Missions Team like this? Ask us about it!!
