at Casa de Ninos! Just a few weeks ago the Lord brought us this precious little family to care for. Francisca, age 5, Marco, age 7, and Lucero, age 9, are 2 sisters and a brother whose mother died just a few days before they were brought to us. They are adjusting well to their new way of life considering the loss they've sustained and their new environment. They do enjoy attention and like to be hugged and held. This Christmas could be very lonely and confusing for them. Pray that as they hear the Christmas story they will come to understand why Jesus came to this world as a baby in a manger. For many of our children, the first time they ever heard the "good tidings of great joy to all people" was when they came to the Casa de Ninos, Frank Gonzales. Isn't it awesome to be a part of that kind of life-changing outreach? "CHRISTMAS IS... " "Christmas means peace... Christmas means joy... Christmas means children expecting new toys. You get the picture; you know what I'm saying. It's the season for giving and sharing and praying... it's the birthday of Jesus who came to be King... it the time to remember that He's everything. But down in Tepic in old Mexico there were children abandoned with no place to go. Now they live at the "Casa" and call it their home. But at this time of year they can feel quite alone. No mommy or daddy to take them out shopping... they hope for a present but Santa's not stopping! How can we help them? What can we do? We can buy them a present, or maybe even two! We can reach out and touch them with a gift of our love and show them that Jesus looks down from above. This Christmas let's pray about doing our part... let's make them a memory that will stay in their hearts. Let's show them that Christmas is more than just things... Christmas is Love borne on soft angel's wings." Jeanne C. Sixtos
*Note: We need computers for the school. Pray about helping us with this project. We can purchase them in Tepic and we desperately need ones that have the cd rom capability. **To our Donors: Thank you so much for your financial support. We couldn't do it without you! To those who are considering becoming a supporter, WE NEED YOU!! Our monthly budget is between $4,000-$5,000 and we need faithful donors who will send their financial support every month.
Vehicles are hard to come by in Mexico and harder to keep running! With 30 plus children to drive to church, school, the doctor, the store, etc. etc., you can see why we really need a large van. Presently we transport them to church in the back of a truck, but if it's rainy or cold or windy, that is out of the question. Pray with us about this ongoing need for adequate transportation. Maybe YOU are being led to start a VEHICLE FUND. Maybe YOU can contribute to it. Maybe YOU can help make this dream come true! Let us hear from you today! "Riding to Church on a Sunday Morning!" ***PLEASE NOTE THAT CASA DE NINOS, FRANK GONZALES IS A NON-DENOMINATIONAL MINISTRY. YOUR DONATIONS DO NOT GO TO A PARTICULAR DENOMINATION. A Baptist Church in Georgia agrees to receive donations and give tax-deductible receipts to donors! We want to thank the Oconee Heights Baptist Church in Athens, Georgia, for their willingness to donate their time and effort to receive the donations that are sent for the Casa de Ninos. You can be assured that every dollar you send for the children goes directly to the Orphanage account. Nothing is taken out for operating expenses. PRAY FOR US!! Would you set aside a few minutes every week to pray for the children, the staff, and the various needs of the Casa de Ninos? There is power in prayer!! We need your prayer support! ***Special Note: We now have a website! www.casadeninos.org or tepic@casadeninos.org Come Visit Us!! Old Newsletters: |
