 The roof over the stairwell and the roofs of all the buildings need periodic resealing to prevent water damage. Some of the buildings need a purchased sealer that costs about $50 dollars each 5 gallon bucket. Several buckets are needed each time we need to reseal. Other roofs needed a mixture of white cement and other products and is applied with old brooms. This type of sealing will cost approximately $75 dollars for all the supplies.

 This vehicle runs almost non stop with taking kids and staff to appointments, etc, and many errands in the day. Road wear and tear have deteriorated the Pointer. We would like to replace this vehicle with a newer one. Both our vehicles were purchased new through applying for Federal government funds for non profit organizations. The maintenance and insurance costs are difficult to keep up with. That federal grant program has been eliminated.  2006 FORD ECONOLINE WAGON XL This vehicle is not used as much but it takes groups of children on outings or to events in the city. It is important for the safety of the children that we are able to keep the van in good condition. We all know expenses are often great and unexpected when we have a vehicle. Please support this important work that gives many children a wonderful place to be in their time of great need. Now is 2020 the van still runs great as it is not used nearly as often as the pointer. The tires will soon be in need of replacing.  Laptops and school work.
Our computer lab for the little kids is in pretty good shape, but for our older kids that go to school off grounds they do their homework in the evening and need laptops to use in their common areas. At least two laptops are needed for our teens. (Now during the COVID-19 dilema non of the children leave so the computer lab is used for their online schooling.) |
