It has been a privilege to visit this orphanage many times over the last 15 years. I came alone and with my wife. I also took people with me to work and serve. Everyone who went had a life-changing experience.
The leadership at Casa de Ninos provide a safe place where Jesus Christ is honored by the care and love they invest into these children and others who come needing a safe place. One result is that the children find a ministry themselves that, many times, continues into adulthood.
One personal example of the ministry of Casa: One of the men who came with me to work at Casa brought his two daughters. He wanted them to see how "blessed" they were in comparison to the "orphans." But he received a big surprise. The love at Casa revealed to him his own lack of love. He wept one night as he said to me, "I'm a terrible father. I give my daughters everything but what is MOST important.--God's love and my time."
I praise God for the ministry and influence of Casa de Ninos!
